Additional Notes

This PDF pattern includes all pattern pieces and step-by-step instructions with color illustrations.

This is an adorable coat! I have been sewing for years, and there were a couple things I struggled with on the instructions. Take note, there is a line on the pattern for the front pieces indicating where to cut the lining fabric (the lining is more narrow than outer pieces due to the facing). Nowhere in the instructions does it say this! Also, I'm used to patterns that indicate which is the front and which is the back of the sleeve. It's not terribly hard to figure out, but it would be nice if the pattern had markings. I highly recommend you check out the tutorials on the pattern makers website for the bagged lining and the welt pockets. Good pictures and descriptions there. I made the coat out of a beautiful corduroy with a satin lining and big velvet buttons. It turned out really cute.
