Additional Notes

This PDF pattern includes all pattern pieces and step-by-step instructions with illustrations.

Be careful with the button and buttonhole markings on the placket; you might want to change their location.

Will sew again!

Pattern instructions are really thorough, as in 28 pages long thorough – no details are left unexplained, but they are easy to follow. The pattern doesn’t indicate a difficulty level, but I’d say its adequate to someone at an improver’s stage – someone that isn’t scared by new techniques and can easily follow directions. As per usual, after comparing my measurements with the finished garment dimensions I decided to cut a size smaller than what was indicated and I really love the fit. I didn’t make any other alterations. This is quite the stash buster, made all my versions out of small fabric remnants from the remnant bin (1,2mx1,4m).

This pattern was one of my favorites to sew this summer. It is well written and I love the french seams and hidden placket.

The instructions for this pattern are very clear—makes using new techniques so much better! I also ended up emailing Hey June directly with images and fit questions and she responded very quickly and with much encouragement. So, so helpful!

This was my first pdf pattern download and with HeyJune's great instructions I sailed right through it! I was a bit nervous about the placket but I went to the HeyJune blog. She offers a step by step Biscayne blouse tutorial that includes lots of tips and photos. I am really happy with this pattern!

This was my first time sewing a hidden placket and the instructions were perfect. I will definitely make this blouse again.

I think it's a brilliant pattern - I learned new skills such as the hidden button placket and welt pocket. The instructions were clear and it was great to be able to turn to the sew-along for extra support.

I love this pattern so much!! Great way to learn plackets!

This pattern is really easy to work with - everything is explained so well. I made a size M at first but found it too large for my liking and went with a size S for this blouse. I have several of theses blouses and love wearing them. The instructions for the placket und collar are great. Things can be a bit fiddly when sewing the collar but I usually hand baste everything in place before machine stitching and then it's fine.

The instructions were very clear and detailed and the pattern well drafted. The result is very nicely finished on the inside. The blouse is loose fitting so I actually thought the sizing was accurate.

I really love this pattern and will be making it up again and again come warmer weather. The only teeny, tiny thing I would say is that it comes up a bit large so maybe try a muslin first, or be brave a go a size down.

The sew-a-long on HeyJune's website was so helpful with the button placket.
