The Kila Tank is a fitted tank top designed for stretchy rib knit fabrics. A slight racerback design gives this top a sporty look, but won’t reveal conventional bra straps. Kila’s deep scoop neckline and armholes are finished with a bulk-free binding method that mimics ready-to-wear techniques.

The Kila Tank has several inches of negative ease making it a great basic layering tank top. Kila can be tucked into high-waist pants, overalls, and skirts. Because it’s sewn in super stretchy fabrics, Kila is also a great workout or pajama top for hot weather.

This pattern is well-suited for the beginner sewist who has some experience sewing with stretchy knit fabrics.

Additional Notes

This PDF pattern includes all pattern pieces and step-by-step instructions with illustrations.

I love the technique for the neckline and armhole bands, quick and easy and it looks great. Overall the pattern was amazing!

I can't get over how smart the construction of the arm and neck bindings is. I'll only use this method in the future even with other patterns. It's just so much easier and avoids the usual problems that can pop up when installing neck bindings on knits! Bravo Allie!

Tutorial is great. I already use the assembly method described because I have a binding attachment, but it is different from typical binding and I like this method.
