Mustard cardigan that dreams are made of!
I had sewn a few Seamly wrapped cardigans as Christmas presents and was craving one of my own. A few months ago I added this double knit to a myfabrics order I was making when I spotted it reduced to £4/ meter. Oh am I happy I did! The fabric pattern combo is perfect and the weight of the fabric makes the front panels hang beautifully.
The pattern was a really simple sew and the finished cardigan is so wearable. I've been loathed to ever take it off! I have already purchased some grey marked cotton/linen feeling knit for another Wrapped cardigan (why stop when you're on a roll with a beautiful pattern like this one?!).
The only mod I made was to add 2.5" long cuffs (5" before I folded them in half lengthways wrong side together) to the sleeves. I normally have to lengthen sleeve length but I actually quite like the look of these cuffs now they are on. So maybe for my next version I'll make cuffs too rather than lengthening the pattern by 2.5".
