Indiesew Pattern Additions | Sept & Oct 2016

We’re back with our monthly recap showcasing the new indie sewing patterns we’ve added to the shop! Because we were so busy in September gearing up the launch the 2016 Fall/Winter Collection, only a few patterns made it into the shop that month. Thus, we’re combining our September and October updates into one post!

The Versalette

Versalette Sewing Pattern by Seamly and Indiesew

We kicked off September with a new Indiesew/Seamly collaboration! The Versalette is a transformable knit garment that can be worn 30 different ways! Drawstrings on the top and bottom (and concealed in the side seams) allow an easy way to cinch in extra fabric. Hidden sleeves can be pulled out to create an entirely different look. Before you sew your own, check out our Eight Tips for a Better Versalette.

Opal Cardigan

Opal Cardigan sewing pattern by Paprika Patterns

We snuck the Opal Cardigan by Paprika Patterns into the pattern shop just in time for Cardigan Week. This design is a relaxed-fit knit coat or cardigan with dropped shoulders. This garment doesn't have any closures, which makes this the perfect project for the beginner sewist.

2016 Fall/Winter Collection

2016 Fall/Winter Collection by Indiesew

In early October we launched the 2016 Fall/Winter Collection! The mini bundle includes the Chi-Town Chinos, Bonn Shirt, and Toaster Sweater. This bundle is priced at $29, a savings of 22% over the individually priced patterns.

But, if you go for the full bundle, which includes all five sewing patterns listed above, you’ll save 25%! Priced at just $45, you can have a new cold weather wardrobe in just a few weeks.

Lonetree Jacket & Vest

Lonetree Vest and Jacket by Allie Olson

My first solo design, the Lonetree Jacket and Vest, is a utility jacket or vest with a collar, facings, and an optional lined hood. Last month we also launched Lonetree Kits in army green (which have just been restocked)! Navy and grey kits are coming soon!

Chi-Town Chinos Expansion Pack #2

Chi-Town Chinos Sewing Pattern | Expansion Pack #2

The Chi-Town Chinos Expansion Pack #2 is a supplement to the Chi-Town Chinos sewing pattern. It provides the option for a full-length trouser and welt pockets. We sewed this sample in our Sienna Stretch Twill fabric, which has been a popular choice!

Toaster Sweater

Toaster Sweater Sewing Pattern by Sew House Seven

The Toaster Sweater #2 by Sew House Seven is a knit sweater with a slit boat neck and side vents with mitered corners. We love this top sewed up in a cozy grey French Terry.

Bonn Shirt

Bonn Shirt by Itch to Stitch | Indiesew Blog

The Bonn Shirt by Itch to Stitch is a woven button-down shirt or dress with a mandarin V-neck collar. I sewed up the version you see above in our Carnelian Abstract Floral Crepe (sadly, sold out). Check out our styling tips for this top here.

Vintage Shirt Dress

Vintage Shirt Dress sewing pattern by Sew Over It

The Vintage Shirt Dress sewing pattern by Sew Over It flew off our shelves when we first mentioned it on Intstagram (not to worry, more patterns will be arriving soon!). This collared, button-down shirtdress has a sleeveless option and gathered shoulder seam.

Geodesic Sewing Pattern by Blueprints for Sewing

People can’t stop talking about it and it’s obvious why! The Geodesic by Blueprints for Sewing is a fun patchwork sweatshirt with two lengths. Check out the pockets on the long version pictured here!

We’ll be back next month with a recap of the patterns we add to the shop in November. There are some great designs coming your way that I know you’ll love. If you want to make sure you’re up to date on Indiesew happenings, don’t forget to follow us on Instagram!

Happy sewing!
